It was a bad football weekend all around. In an embarrassing display of incompetence, my Wolfpack forgot how to play football. My fantasy team crashed and burned (to JUSTIN, no less), and to add insult to injury, the stupid tar heels won.
I must move on. I'm going to start thinking about the fair...and how much food Lydia and I are going to eat there...
Hannah got a new camera. A fancy one. All I know about it is that it's digital, it has special lenses, and now I totally want one. She let me be her model for the first official photo shoot with the new camera. She did my hair and makeup and picked out the outfit. I had a great time...but we learned that I can't take serious pictures. I somehow end up looking dead.
ANYWAY...here are some of my favorite shots:
I had such a good time, I think I'm going to see if she'll let me do it again. If you'd like to see more, Hannah has set up a photography blog that she's promising to keep this time. CLICK HERE to see more pictures of me, and a few that I took of her...which weren't all that bad for an amatuer. I guess that goes to show you just how awesome her camera is. It even makes my pictures look good!
So here's some Friday fun for you. I can't decide whether I like 1950, 1952, or 1966 the best...
1950, 1952, 1962:
1966, 1968, 1972:
1974, 1976, 1984:
1994, 1996, 1998:
As much as I hate to admit it, the 1998 picture looks pretty much exactly like my senior pictures. But, since I graduated in 98, I guess that's a good thing, right?
I think the 1968 picture looks a lot Shirley's high school hair. I'll have to see if I can find a picture to post side by side and we'll see how much we look alike.
I challenge all of you. Head over to YearbookYourself and post the results!
See The Dark Knight? See it? Look at the number one spot at the top of the leaderboard. Look at the highest score of the week on the right over there. You might want to click on it to blow it up. Do you see it?
That's me.
I'll be milking this all week...since I know it's only the second week and I'm sure it will be all down hill from here...
A few posts ago I promised you some childhood photos. So, uh, here you go. I figure I'll take John down with me. We can celebrate the end of summer with a shot from our backyard in 1985. I'm not really sure why he had an attache case at age 4. Note the super cool plastic pool and swing set in the backyard. Don't be jealous of my teddy bear shirt, either. It was one of my favorites...
I have to get up early now. I've never been an early riser, but I have to be at work at 8:00. In the morning. I have a 35-40 minute drive (depending on traffic) and a 5-7 minute walk (depending on how many students are trudging along in front of me) from the parking deck to my office. That means I have to leave my house at 7:15. That means I have to get up at 6:40. *sigh*
I've never been one that could go on 6-7 hours of sleep. Maybe I need to start going to bed at 7:30...
Happy Labor Day! I guess summer is "officially" over. Consider this your friendly fashion reminder. I try to serve the public the best I can...
We had our Fantasy Football draft last night. I've gambled a bit in my selections, but we'll see. According to Justin, in a few weeks I'm either going to look like a genius or an idiot. Let's keep our fingers crossed for genius...because I REALLY don't want to have to hear about it if it goes the other way.
I also REALLY don't want to hear about my Wolfpack right now. I think the saving grace here is that (with the exception of Duke) the entire ACC is looking horrible, so maybe it won't be too bad. Maybe.
Finally, and most importantly...PRISON BREAK PREMIERS TONIGHT! Note Sara in the updated cast photo below. I knew she wasn't dead all along!
So...uh...that's about it for today. I spent the morning installing Fred's fancy new scanner...so hopefully I'll be able to post some delightful pictures from my childhood soon. I know you're looking forward to that...
