a note
On Saturday, we learned that these two individuals:should probably not be allowed to use farm equipment unsupervised unless this patient and forgiving individual:is around to fix whatever they may or may not (but probably may) have broken. And the Gator needed to be washed anyway.
And I love having a sister! That is all.

cold and hot
I'm working through lunch today...but I'm not neglecting my gimpy foot. I had my first physical therapy appointment yesterday. My assignment is to ice my foot during lunch and to write the ABCs with my foot a few times every day. IT IS HARD. I do pretty well until I get to H-I-J-K, and then my ankle doesn't want to do it anymore. Oh well. At least we're moving forward with getting this thing better! Don't be jealous of my copy paper box footstool...In other news, my dear friend (and former boss) Suzy got married on Saturday. We had a great time at the beach...even though it was hot! I got to meet all of her family from Miami...and I'm kind of hoping that they'll adopt me and teach me to salsa dance. They are so much fun! So congrats Suzy and Josh...may you live happily ever after!Labels: friends, fun
answers
So after 4 months, 3 X-rays, 2 cortisone shots, 2 rounds of prednisone, 2 anti-inflammatory prescriptions, 700 Advils, 2 pain medicine prescriptions, 2 urgent care visits, 2 orthopedist visits, an ankle brace, an ace bandage, an air cast, 2 visits to the rheumatologist, 2 blood panels, and an MRI, we FINALLY know why my foot is gimpy![drumroll, please...]I have a torn ligament in my ankle and a fractured big toe.I'm not sure what this means right now...I'm being scheduled with an orthopedist that specializes in foot and ankle injuries...so I guess we'll wait until I see her to know what happens next. I'm just relieved to finally know what's wrong. I still have no idea how it happened.
Praise God for answers!
