the question

Oh how I wish I had something interesting to write about. This last week has been pretty mundane.

I could lament about my summer "B" parking pass expiring. I've been exiled to the parking deck again. That adds a good 15 minutes to my commute.

Shirley and I are working on a top secret project...but y'all don't have the proper security clearance for me to discuss it here.

The last few days at work have been insane. Lots of last minute submissions. And the one I'm working on now is a trial run for a hog holocaust (in case something like mad cow disease ever hits NC). How depressing.

So that's about it. OH WAIT. I know! I'm getting a haircut tonight. I need to conduct an informal poll:

I could just get a trim and keeping my hair long and curly, or I could get 4-5 inches cut off and go back to the shorter, straighter look:

What do you think?

fort

May I present Oozey's new favorite spot:

There's plenty of room for her to get behind the books, so she hops into the bookcase and sets up a fort. Then she watches me while I watch TV.

It's a bit unnerving.

In other news, the countdown to kickoff is on! We will soon be delivered from baseball, NASCAR, and golf!

fearrington

We had an adventure on Saturday. Rachael invited me along to check out Fearrington Village. It was beautiful...and almost inspired me to garden. Almost.

We had an incredible lunch, got to meet the village cat (who was hanging out in the china/pottery store - I wouldn't let Oozey within 10 miles of a china shop...), and posed while Mrs. Jenny took 17 pictures of us. In her defense, she didn't realize that the camera was taking pictures...

We also saw the field of stone sheep and...

wait for it...

wait for it...

THE OREO COWS!

I just wish that we could have brought one home!
