single (and aware of it)

We celebrated Singles' Awareness Night tonight (and I'm using the word "celebrate" loosely here). Just a few friends having dinner, listening to horse show music (I still can't believe Rachael actually paid money for that CD), watching American Idol & the Primetime Polygamy special (I've waited all weekend to laugh at the polygamists), and laughing about previous bad Valentines dates. Now THAT'S something you can only do with your REAL friends!

Rich and I went out last night. It was the first "valentine" date we've had in five years! Just to let you know what you WEREN'T missing...we went to the dollar store and bought a snack for the kids and invitations for Kimberly's birthday. So romantic! HOWEVER! I did get my favorite chocolate and a card from my sweetheart:)

I am DA MAN! And dear, you forgot about me allowing you to drag me to that chicken place for dinner (so that you could ingest large amounts of garlic thereby sabotaging the rest of our romantic holiday time together!).

P.S. Try dropping the dippy horse show music and see if you can attract more men. Sheesh!!! I thought there were some things that didn't need to be said, but... ;-)

I always thought 'singles awareness day' was the day AFTER Valentine's. Then you can get all the chocolate at half price!

Rich, you were supposed to eat garlic too...ya get my drift?

I am glad that you are aware of singleness, but didn't you know that before you ate dinner together?
sounds like fun, except for the horse music!
