The Great State Fair

It's finally here! I want to eat onion rings, and NC State ice cream, and a fried candy bar. Then I want to go see all the animals. Then I might ride a ride or two. And I have to go get Republican stickers at their booth.

OK...enough of that...I have to go buy Tommy and Jimmy some body paint for the horse show...Go Cole and Rachael!

Carroll,

You are sooo my kind of girl. My "To Do" list at the state fair looks exactly like yours. Republican stickers and all. The only thing I would add would be to get some Honey Cotten Candy and some nice cold milk from the NCSTATE booth!! Oh my I'm drooling.!!

I've never had the maple but the Honey is sooo good. I'll have to try the Maple and expand my horizons.

I'm jealous. Fair food! You have to find some way to ship it here, or something. OK, maybe not, but at least bottle the smells and send them (minus the smells at the pig barn, of course).

For some idiotic reason, England, a country with amazing tradition of historical and scientific genius, has no culinary ability at all! After thousands of years of history, their contribution to cuisine is, um, well, I think the only thing they really make here is fish and chips (basically fried fish and french fries). I think I'll blog about this sometime. In the meantime, I want fair food! Just talking about this makes me want to visit Budapest.
