Come, ye thankful people, come, raise the song of harvest home;
All is safely gathered in, ere the winter storms begin.
God our Maker doth provide for our wants to be supplied;
Come to God’s own temple, come, raise the song of harvest home.

Even so, Lord, quickly come, bring Thy final harvest home;
Gather Thou Thy people in, free from sorrow, free from sin,
There, forever purified, in Thy garner to abide;
Come, with all Thine angels come, raise the glorious harvest home.

I want to live there! Are there any unreached people groups in that area?

I love this song!!!! It is one of the standard lutheran hymns Mommy always made us sing and it has about 22 verses, but I love the words and it is sooo appropriate for thanksgiving!

I'm sure those people have to slosh through 5 inches of torrential rainfall and feed their horses that are running around like idiots kicking at each other followed by chasing down their dog that refuses to come home.

I'm sure there are some unreached people there in the mountainous region of NC. I think y'all should definitely move there. But for now, show all the folks over there what a proper Thanksgiving meal is!

Carroll,
Re: Thanksgiving here. Um, well, after an extremely long saga (involving lots of the kind of strange logic that school administrations tend to favor: "Well, once, a long time ago, we think that possibly a rumor started that may have indicated that someone was the slightest bit offended by the Thanksgiving celebration that they did in a totally different way than you're planning") - short version: our Thanksgiving was cancelled. So, all the Americans are getting together at one of the staff houses to eat together, which makes me miss Dickens/Williams combo Thanksgivings even more. Sigh.

J & B,
In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I think you should leave that land and travel across the ocean to a land of plenty, where you will not be persecuted for your beliefs. Squinto will meet you and help you learn to survive in this new land. You know...valuable survival skills like driving through Taco Bell and how to work the remote.
