it's official

Just thought that you all should know that I am going to marry Superman when I grow up. We saw the movie last night, and it was GREAT!!! Lots of action, the casting was perfect, and they left the story open for a sequel. Say what you will, but to me, there is nothing more romantic than Superman flying Lois all over Metropolis. *SIGH*

I'm already taking some heat from the guys at work for wearing my Superman shirt today, but I don't care. I think I might just pay to go see it again in a few days...

Look to the Sky...

I fought the urge to wear my Superman t-shirt under my clothes today...

the stuff on my fridge

If the stuff you keep on your fridge says anything about you, then mine speaks volumes. I have all off the random magnets that Grandmother had...little sheep and lady bugs, and quite a few that I've picked up over the years. I like to buy magnets when I go places...it's a useful souvenir! I also have tons of pictures of family and friends, a poem that my mom wrote for me, a seafood sauce recipe, and a craft from children's church that John picked the pennies off of. Then there's the instructions for Oozey's vet visit in a few weeks, my Batgirl nameplate from my cube at IBM, the cartoon I drew of my family, a coupon for a free Chick-fil-a sandwich (which I need to use), and the pencil cup from my 6th grade locker with random Wolfpack ticket stubs in it. Last but not least, there's the Struttin' Wolf window cling, the "I'm out of estrogen and I have a gun" bumper sticker that my dad got me, and a picture of my beloved Beretta 9mm.

And this is AFTER Hannah made me clean some stuff off of it...

on the menu

Oozey managed to get into my room this morning while I was getting ready. (either the door just didn't catch, or she has a lockpick set that we don't know about) I heard the door swing open and a thud...and ran down the hall to see her lapping water out of my overturned cup on the floor. GRRRRR!

Tacos will be ready around 6:30.

maybe not

I spent my lunch hour shopping for baby gifts, since I have 3 friends that are all expecting boys! Looking at all of the cute little baby stuff made me want one. Then I saw how much diapers cost, and thought about how much trouble we have with the baby kitty...so I'm good.

george

My friends Jamie and Caleb have finally gotten settled into their new home in Hawaii - only to discover that they have a tiny roommate. They first found George on the counter, and were going to evict him...but then they realized that George eats the little Hawaiian bugs that come in the house, so they decided to let him stay. Now he hangs out under the stove, and last week, Jamie found him in a glass as she was loading the dishwasher! We'll have to start playing "Where's George?"

Isn't he cute!?!

nothing much

We finally got our internet back up at work today. I'm very glad...because I've actually been having to work this week. I don't know how you people with real jobs do it...

I also just realized that my "Return to Me" quote has been there for a while. Updating...

Since my last 8 or so posts have been hit by the same spammer, I've added the word-verification feature to my comments section. Let me know how this works when you comment...If it's terrible or too much of a pain then I'll take it off again...I hate spam.

Oh - and everybody check out today's Savage Chickens cartoon on the right over there. That's me at work...

snuggle

Baby Oozey came in my room sometime in the middle of the night and hopped into bed with me. She woke me up around 6:30 this morning trying to snuggle between my face and my shoulder. Every so often, she'd turn her little face around and kiss the tip of my nose or my forehead. She was so adorable that I just couldn't kick her out! I wasn't too worried about my sheets, since it's almost time to change them and she had a bath Tuesday night. Maybe I don't mind having a baby kitty in my bed after all...

summer reading

The new book is out. I picked it up at Walmart this morning. It's all I can do to wait until I get home! I'll let you borrow it in a day or two when I finish...

multi-tasking

Busy at work today. I've been playing Mario and Mahjong while listening to Rush.

I'm very talented.

SIDE NOTE: My Superman shirt arrived via camel express yesterday. It's a good thing...since I may have to stop wearing the Batman shirt... (although technically I'm Batgirl...and Batwoman is dumb anyway)
